Autostat: Russia’s sales of new cars almost triple in August

MOSCOW, Oct 4 (PRIME) – Russia’s sales of new cars almost tripled on the year and grew by 0.6% on the month to 110,400 vehicles in September, research agency Autostat said in a statement on Wednesday.

In January–September, new car sales rose by 51.1% to 717,300 units.

Sales of new Lada cars amounted to 34,991 units, which accounted for almost 32% of the market in September, as compared with 40% in September 2022. Chinese car brands Chery and Haval occupied the second and third places with 12,102 and 11,080 cars, respectively.
